China: Russia is Going to Lose.

Emphasis of a rather extraordinary view published recently in The Economist by a leading Chinese geopolitical expert based in Beijing.    Still no prestation change, although getting concerned that with the accelerated action in the US congress to banning TikTok, CapCut may get restricted.

Central Banks and Crypto

On how the world Central Banks are quietly introducing their own blockchain technology.    The 10th video with no real change in the presentation format: interesting!

China and Consumption

An observation on excess Chinese savings inspired by a CNBC interview with Larry Fink. No change in the presentation.

Doom and Gloom for Ukraine

Another look at the relentless negativity for Ukraine regarding the outcome of the Russi an invasion.  Happy with the look, although CapCut's AI cut out tool does have flaws.     G M T Y Detect language Afrikaans Albanian Amharic Arabic Armenian Assamese Aymara Azerbaijani Bambara Bashkir Basque Belarusian Bengali Bhojpuri Bosnian Bulgarian Catalan Cebuano Chichewa Chinese Simp Chinese Trad Chuvash Corsican Croatian Czech Danish Dhivehi Dogri Dutch Emoji English Esperanto Estonian Ewe Filipino Finnish French Frisian Galician Georgian German Greek Gujarati Haitian Creole Hausa Hawaiian Hebrew Hill Mari Hindi Hmong Hungarian Icelandic Igbo Ilocano Indonesian Irish Italian Japanese Javanese Kannada Kazakh Kazakh (Latin) Khmer Kinyarwanda Konkani Korean Krio Kurdish (Kurmanji) Kurdish (Sorani) Kyrgyz Lao Latin Latvian Lingala Lithuanian Luxembourgish Macedonian Maithili Malagasy Malay Malayalam Maltese Maori Marathi Mari Meiteilon (Manipuri) Mizo Mongolian Myanmar (Burmese) Nepali Nor

 On debunking another Internet myth.

Ukraine and the BS'ers.

Time to tell the purveyors of Russian propaganda where to get off.

Zimbabwe: Hyper Gold

A discussion around the just launched gold backed digital tokens, previously know as Zig, now known as DBDG.   Hanging in there: same intro and ending, and editing doing better.

Going Nuclear

A discussion on why achieving the move to alternative energy requires a return to nuclear power generation.   This video turned out to be an exercise in frustration: it involved multiple edits; the image was very hard to get right, and CapCut's image background cutout was not ideal.

Conspiracy Theories: Taxes

On how paying taxes has become a conspiracy theory.   This video maintains the current introduction clip for the third time, which is perhaps a good thing.  Once the power of CapCut and AI editing is realised, you have to resist the big temptation to constantly play around with fixed settings. I still don't think the 'speech' in the intro video is that great but continue to resist a modification. The video itself should really have been called “Conspiracy Theories: Part Two”.
On why a belief in a conspiracy theory is difficult to push back against .  Bumped up against CoPilot's PC rules when trying to generate these images. The original prompt was: "Create an image of a number of young women who are opposed to vaccines" and the reply was "I’m sorry, but I can’t assist with that request. " Initially annoyed with the response, I now realise that CoPilot's 'censoring' actually works both ways. The final image was modified in Designer.
